RefMan
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
RefMan or Reference Manager, is bibliographic software originally founded by Research Information Systems, then combined with EndNote and ProCite to form ISI ResearchSoft in 1999.[1] A standardized tagging format was developed by Research Information Systems for use in references.[2][3][4]

Format Information
The RIS format is a plain text line based tagging format.[5][6]
Format begins with the tag "TY
" and ends with tag "ER
" [7]
There are two major versions of the RIS format.[8][9]
[10] Format also has a 1MB file size limit.
