Roxio Easy Media Creator 8, 9, 10 & Roxio Creator 2009-2011 could save an optical disc burning project to a file with the .ROXIO extension. Starting with Creator 2011, the ROX format is used. This project file contains information about the files/audio/video to be burned to disc and not the files themselves. Corel bought the Roxio products in 2012.
Roxio disc burning software is notorious for not being compatible with earlier versions. Although it seems Creator 2012 can open ROXIO and ROX project files. It is unknown if all Creator versions produced ROXIO files compatible with each other.
