PA, also called "Advanced Codec Pack", is a compressed archive format associated with PowerArchiver, a commercial archiving application developed by ConeXware.

PowerArchiver was first released around 1999. It supports many formats. PA format was introduced in PowerArchiver 2017.

Identification

At least some PA files start with ASCII "PaFiLe".
