Minecraft Region format

Minecraft Region format is a data format used in the Java Edition of the Minecraft game, superseding the Minecraft Alpha level format and later superseded by the Minecraft Anvil format. This and other Minecraft formats are extensively documented in the Minecraft Gamepedia wiki.
The format consists of a collection of data items in the Minecraft chunk format, which in turn uses the Minecraft NBT format.
