GarageBand MagicMentor template (.mwand) files are used by some versions of the GarageBand music software for the Macintosh platform in conjunction with the "Magic GarageBand" feature, which was used for "jam sessions". This feature was in GarageBand from versions 4 through 6, but was removed from version 10. (Apparently there were no versions 7, 8, or 9.) The exact use or format of this file, and how it is distinguished from the Magic GarageBand template (.wand) file, is not clearly explained anywhere that's easy to find.
