DCF
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) is a standardized directory structure, and related standards, designed for use with digital cameras. In some sense, it is an extension of Exif.
The only original file extension used by DCF appears to be .THM, used for thumbnail images in a particular JPEG format defined by the Exif standard.
Identification
One of the subdirectories is named "DCIM" (which stands for "Digital Camera Images").
