From Just Solve the File Format Problem
The DOS program "Sound Club" has its own .bnk format. The ROL.BNK file seems to be the AdLib instrument bank format, but there is also another file called SCLUB.BNK which is a different format (and I think contains wave sounds). I did not figure out the format but might do later; alternatively if anyone else has information they can add it. --Zzo38 (talk) 01:43, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- There's also a Windows version. It looks like Sound Club's only user-visible native formats are its .sn and .sn2 "song" formats. The sclub.bnk file seems to be used internally as a resource file, for the "preset instrument bank". I'd guess it's a home-grown format used only for this file, but I can't prove it's not a standard format made by some other software. The only other .bnk format I could find with a similar signature is Electronic Arts BNK, but I don't think it's related. -Jsummers (talk) 12:51, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
