The 北京超星电子技术公司 or Beijing SuperStar Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is a technology company located in China who develops digital libraries since the 1990's.[1][2] Often referred to as Superstar (超星数字图书馆) eBooks.[3] Currently available through ChaoXing.com
File Information
PDG files are proprietary and normally contain raster data, but can also contain text. Compression is usually CCITT, DjVu, PNG, and JPG. PDG files generally have a 140 byte header which begins with hex values "484802", followed by a byte indicating compression. This is also referenced at byte "0xE", with the next byte, "0xF" being the "version" of the PDG file.[4][5]
