sMAUG ANSI Executable (stylized as "sMAUG ANSi^eXeCUTABLe"), or ANSI2COM, is a DOS utility that converts an ANSI Art file to a COM file that, when executed, displays the image. It was developed by a group named sMAUG.

Identification

The ASCII signature "sMAUG!" appears at offset 2 of a generated COM file, but as that is the name of the organization, not the format, it might not be unique to this format.

For v1.0 at least, the first 500+ bytes always seem to be the same. The substring "ANSi^eXECuTABLe" appears at offset 403, for example.
