Nero WaveEditor is an audio editing tool which used to be included with the Nero Multimedia Suite but is now a free download[1][2]. WaveEditor has a proprietary audio format with the extension NWF, which can contain audio data, editing changes, external links, and other project data.

NWF files begin with the hex value 52414646 or RAFF in ascii.
