CP1140 (IBM Code Page 1140, EBCDIC 1140) is a character encoding for the EBCDIC character set with some extended characters in an 8-bit range, in a variety used by IBM in the US/Canada markets. It is an update to CP037, adding the euro symbol at code point 9F in place of a generic currency symbol.
