SDTS
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
The Spatial Data Transfer Standard (SDTS) format was designed to be a robust way of transferring earth-referenced spatial data between dissimilar computer systems with the potential for no information loss. The SDTS specifies exchange constructs, such as format, structure, and content, for spatially referenced vector and raster (including gridded) data.
