David's Readme Compiler
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
David's Readme Compiler (DRC; also called RCOM) is a DOS application that creates self-displaying structured text files in EXE format. It was developed by David Harris.
The generated files are generally menu-driven.
Source files are written in a special format containing the text, and special commands.
Identification
In a generated file, the "overlay" segment (refer to MS-DOS EXE#Special file positions) starts with ASCII "Data file generated by RCOM.
", followed by bytes 0x0a 0x1a
.
