Computer-assisted qualitative data analysis, abbreviated as CAQDAS, denotes a type of software which is used to analyse combinations of text-based, audio-based and video-based data. Data can be "marked up" thematically, connected and searched via themes, keywords, etc. It is most often used in the social sciences.
