I wouldn't call .ncd files temporary. Persistent is basically the antithesis of temporary, IMHO. What do you think?

I'm open to suggestions. I feel like there's a consistent concept among files we might call "temporary" / "swap" / "auto-save" / "auto-backup" / "cache" / "persistent cache" / "derived" / certain "intermediate" files / etc. I had some idea to flesh out this section and use it for such files. The name "temporary files" may not capture the concept very well, though. I do think that other persistent cache formats like Thumbs.db ought to be listed together with this one, somehow.
