Since when is a single TLD a file format? felix (talk) 18:09, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Since when is the Hangul a file format? Since when are Tree rings a file format? Etc. Etc. Etc. Basically we several hierarchies, if you want to redo the existing ones, i'd be for it... but as for myself i think that for now just filling stuff up is more important. We can organise when we have stuff to organise. VolodyA! V Anarhist (talk) 18:58, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
This site has tended to have an extremely loose definition of what a "file format" is, though I didn't go quite so far as to create separate pages for different TLDs, satisfying myself with just creating one on Domain name, since particular types of identifiers are of importance within file formats, (domain names, ISBNs, ISSNs, etc.), but specific namespace values within them aren't necessarily of that degree of significance. I think i'll concentrate on filling out other areas, and do domains only when i want to contribute, but can't think of anything else. I do still think that domain naming conventions should be present, but it's not like slightly more than 3000 articles causes the amount of things to add to begin to run out... q;-)= VolodyA! Actually, I think this wiki is steadily leaving the stage where the most important task is looking for "things to add", and is starting to display some symptoms of scope creep. The next step, I think, should be to ensure that everything is well-organised and described in sufficient detail. (And if you ask me, neither Hangul nor tree rings should have pages.) felix (talk) 19:39, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
I honestly hope that this project will not become yet another deletionist hell-hole where people think that deleting somebody's work is a form of "contribution". If anybody (whether you, Felix, or anybody else) feels that something should not be presented on here, the best approach would be to not contribute that material. VolodyA!
