KONTRON is a German company associated with embedded systems. They apparently have an image file format of some sort, which makes a few appearances in lists of formats supported by various other systems, but detailed information on its format and purpose is elusive. "KONTRON PEP" and "MCO/S" are among the names sometimes mentioned.
