PrintMaster
From Just Solve the File Format Problem
Early versions of the PrintMaster desktop publishing software stored clip art in a pair of files: an .SDR file containing names, and an .SHP file containing graphics. The file formats are very similar to those used by The Print Shop.
A related(?) program named NewsMaster also used .SDR and .SHP files, and added an .SDX index file.
Format
SHP files apparently have a 577-byte segment for each image. There is often some unused padding at the end of the file. Each segment starts with four bytes that seem to always be 0b 34 58 00
, followed by 572 bytes of image data, followed by a 1-byte trailer. The image is in the same format as The Print Shop (bi-level, 88×52).
