Correct classification?
Right now, I classified IFF as graphics format, since that is what it's mostly used for. However, it's actually an abstract container, much like RIFF (which doesn't have a page as of now). So it should probably be moved to some other section, with LBM, 8SVX, XMI etc. all referencing this article. Thoughts anyone? --Darkstar (talk) 00:13, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- It seems like it might be sensible to have a "container formats" category or similar. For example, IIRC AVI or MKV files might contain video data encoded as H.264, MPEG-2, etc. --Halftheisland (talk) 15:37, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
