Magic Desk icon is an icon format associated with Magic Desk, a graphical menu system for DOS developed by Virtual Magic Software.
Magic Desk is spelled "MagicDesk" in some third-party descriptions.
Magic Desk is the successor of ToyBox -- see ToyBox icon. Unfortunately, while the ToyBox and Magic Desk icon formats are often indistinguishable, they use different color palettes, and must be interpreted differently.
Identification
Known files start with 0x1f 0x1f
, and are 515 bytes in size.
The byte at offset 2 is observed to be either 0x03
or 0xff
.
Note that this does not necessarily distinguish the format from ToyBox icon.
