MacCaption is retired[1] Closed Caption software by Telestream. Originally developed by CPC Computer Prompting and Captioning Co. and called CCaptionPro[2]. Renamed in 2003 to MacCaption.[3]

MCC VANC files begin with the ascii File Format=MacCaption_MCC
with two versions V1.0 or V2.0[4]
MCC files contain CEA-708 caption data.[5][6]
