The Minecraft player format is used in the Minecraft game. This and other Minecraft formats are extensively documented in the Minecraft Gamepedia wiki.
It is used to represent the state of individual players, in separate server files for each player or as part of the level.dat file of a single player game. The data is in Minecraft NBT format.
