Taylor Code is an extension to Braille to handle mathematical notation, formerly in use prior to the development of Nemeth Code, whose creator found Taylor Code to require too many grouping symbols. Taylor Code came from England, and was presumably created by somebody named Taylor (not Taylor Swift, who didn't invent the Swift programming language either).
