Video color system, mainly used in the U.S.A., developed by [[RCA]], adopted and standardised by [[National Television System Committee]] (hence the name NTSC). The acronym also stands (negatively) for "Never The Same Color" because distortion through aerial tranmission can cause the [[AM]] television signal to be damaged, resulting in shifting of hue. Introduction
