I just don't agree with calling XMP a metaformat. It's not exactly wrong -- for example, you could think of XMP/TIFF and XMP/Exif as independent formats that are based on the XMP metaformat. But a single XMP "file" often contains both of these formats, so that thinking doesn't really work very well. Jsummers (talk) 00:06, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
