MSI (or MSI Plessey or Modified Plessey) is a linear bar code symbology to encode digits, adapted from the Plessey system. Each digit has an associated sequence of 1 and 0 bits, which are encoded simply by a black bar for a 1 and a white bar for a 0, with consecutive bits of the same value becoming wider bars as they are together with no space between them.
