A Renoise DSP device-chain is used in the Renoise audio software to store a set of signal-processing "devices" that create effects on the audio data, where a complex effect can be performed by passing the data sequentially through a series of processes.
Like the other Renoise data files with an "x" in their extension, XRNT files are actually ZIP files with XML data among other contents.
