Musepack is an open-source lossy audio format, formerly known as MPEGplus, MPEG+ or MP+. The current preferred extension is .mpc, but files encoded using older versions may have the extensions .mp+ or .mpp. It was initially based on the MPEG-1 Audio Layer II format but many features have been added during development.
