Contents |
[edit] Format
Like the other JPEG 2000 file formats, MJ2 files are structured as a sequence of objects called boxes. Unlike the other JPEG 2000 formats, MJ2 is based on ISO Base Media File Format. Codestreams in Motion JPEG 2000 files are JP2 codestreams, as defined for JPEG 2000.
[edit] Identifiers
The registered MIME type is video/mj2. At least one document[1] says it is video/mjp2 instead.
The preferred filename extension is .mj2. The MIME type registration lists .mjp2 as an alternate extension.
