[edit] Format details

MLDF is similar to IFF-PBM.

Some files contain a palette. Others contain a paletted image, but no palette. The palette must presumably be read from a separate .CMA file, but it's not obvious how to find the correct file.

[edit] Identification

.mld files begin with 'F' 'O' 'R' 'M' ?? ?? ?? ?? 'M' 'L' 'D' 'F'.

They also tend to have BMHD chunks.
