RSC32 (Reed-Solomon enCoder 32bit) (originally CRC32, an obviously horrible name) by Cyclamen Persicum is a very fast data recovery tool that uses Reed-Solomon codes.
It is faster than QuickPar and supports directories, but only ANSI filenames
Includes FAR File Manager integration, including ability to see inside files
Files start with bytes '52 53 43 33 32 1A'
As of v3.24, it needs a minimum of 3 files to recover lost data:
- FHash.RSC32
- Parity.RSE32
- VHash.RSE32
