Stacker is a disk compression software product, developed by Stac Electronics.

Typically, the compressed volume would be in the form of a file hosted on a non-compressed hard disk. One possible name for the file is stacvol.dsk.
Stacker presumably uses Lempel–Ziv–Stac compression.

More research needed. Compressed volume files apparently start with ASCII "STACKER".
