Sonic Foundry CD Architect, later sold as Sony CD Architect is a CD mastering and burning software solution.[1][2][3] Sold in 2016 to MAGIX Software.[4] CD Architect software handles the organization of your CD using a small project file (CDP) that saves information about source file locations, edits, cuts, and insertion points. This project file is not a multimedia file, but is instead used to create the CD when editing is finished.[5]

- CD Architect version 5 saves project files in with the CDP extension, and format is based on RIFF but begins with lowercase "riff".
