Pixar picture is a raster image format associated with some Pixar products. It is also known as Pixar format, Pixar PIC, PXR, and possibly PICIO.
It is closely related to, and possibly identical to, Lucasfilm picture format.
It is a moderately complex format, supporting tiled images, and various color types up to RGBA with 12 bits/sample.
