ArcGIS from ESRI has an Adobe Creative Cloud add-on[1] which adds support for a ArcGIS map exchange. Added in 2020 with ArcGIS 2.5[2], the format adds some additional features beyond using PDF for exchange. Once add-on is installed Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop can open the AIX format directly.[3][4]
