LightWave Object (or LightWave 3D Object) is a family of IFF-based formats associated with the LightWave (a.k.a. LightWave 3D) 3D graphics software. A file stores a 3D object, which might be referenced by a LightWave Scene file.
The following IFF "FORM types" are known:

LWOB: Lightwave Object -
LWLO: LightWave Layered Object -
LWO2: Successor to LWOB/LWLO, first supported by LightWave 6.0

Identifcation
All files begin with "FORM".
LWOB files have "LWOB" at offset 8.
LWLO files have "LWLO" at offset 8.
LWO2 files have "LWO2" at offset 8.
