RKUC is what we're calling a particular experimental file compression utility by Malcolm Taylor, and its associated format. It is described as "Standalone version of the universal compression codec for RKIVE 2.00". The utility's filename is RKUC.EXE. The format doesn't have a default filename extension.
RKUC was a test-bed for the compression scheme intended for version 2 of RKIVE. As it happened, no such version of RKIVE was ever released -- it was replaced by RK.
