UFA is an experimental compressed archive utility (also known as UFA Archiver), and related file format, developed by Igor Pavlov. It is one of the predecessors of 7z.

The formats used by different (beta) versions are not necessarily compatible.

The first release (0.00) was a DOS program; all later releases were for Windows console.
