POV-Ray density files are a binary voxel format for the POV-Ray (Persistence of Vision Raytracer) raytracing software. By convention, they use the extension ".df3." Density files have 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit fixed point resolution with dimensions up to 65536×65536×65536.
