PWG Raster is a subformat of CUPS Raster, intended to be used with printing, scanning, and fax systems. It is apparently designed to be more device-independent than CUPS Raster. PWG stands for Printer Working Group.

Identification
PWG Raster files begin with "RaS2" (as do some CUPS Raster files).
