CP/M (Control Program for Microprocessors) was a popular operating system on early personal computers, sold by Digital Research, Inc. It ran on Intel 8080, Zilog Z-80, and compatible 8-bit microprocessors. Its user interface showed the influence of Digital Equipment Corporation's operating systems.
