There are a lot of formats that are related to JPEG format in some way, and I don't think it would be useful to try to put them all in the JPEG category. Here are some thoughts about whether certain formats should be listed or not.
- WSQ, JPEG 2000 codestream: Yes; they are not JPEG but are obviously derived from it.
- TIFF, PDF: No; most formats that only sometimes use JPEG compression shouldn't be listed.
- MHTML, Comic Book Archive: No; no need to list aggregate formats like this.
- JP2, JPX, etc.: No; listing JPEG 2000 codestream is sufficient.
- JPEG XR: No; it's related to the Joint Photographic Experts Group, but not to the original JPEG format.
