It would be really nice to have subcategories of extension by their length and by what they contain. What i propose is to keep the current category, but also add things like:
*Category:File Format Extensions by length
**Category:File Format Extensions 1 character long
**Category:File Format Extensions 2 character long
**Category:File Format Extensions 3 character long
**Category:File Format Extensions 4 character long
**...
*Category:File Format Extensions by composition
**Category:File Format Extensions with digits
***Category:File Format Extensions composed only of digits
**Category:File Format Extensions with punctuation
**Category:File Format Extensions with non-English characters
***Category:File Format Extensions with non-Latin characters
