A Free Hero Mesh puzzle set consists of four files; this article is about the .solution file, which contains the recorded solutions.
This file is a Hamster archive which contains lumps with extension .SOL, where each one is the solution for one level. The first part of the lump name is the same number as the .LVL lumps in the level file. The solution includes a version number, which is compared with the version number of the level to check if it is compatible.
The solutions can be played back within Free Hero Mesh. With the -a switch, they can also be used to verify the correctness of a puzzle set uploaded to a catalog service, or for regression testing.
