'''VBScript''' is a Microsoft scripting language used in various Windows client and server environments, including Internet Explorer and IIS. It can be used similarly to [[JavaScript]], but is based on [[Visual Basic]], and is pretty much found only in Microsoft environments, not cross-platform and vendor-neutral like some other languages. Use of it is one of the things that can make a web, intranet, or extranet application Microsoft-specific. (It seems to be getting phased out in newer Microsoft systems, though.)
