Ontology

The UNIX Plot Format is a vector graphics format used in the plot command of some versions of UNIX-type operating systems. It consists of a series of plotting instructions, each of which is an ASCII letter followed by binary information (of endianness that is machine-dependent). A point is specified by four bytes representing two signed integers for the x and y values, deemed to be in a square field starting at (0, 0) and extending (depending on system version) to either (2048, 2048), (3120, 3120), or (4096, 4096).
