This is a strange one. There is definitely a real image format named QDV, associated with the Giffer viewer by Steve Blackstock. The question is whether there is a QDV format (whether it be a different one, or the same one) associated with "Random Dot".

XnView supports Giffer's QDV format, but it inexplicably calls it Random Dot Software. This makes me think there's just one QDV format.

I can find no other association between {Giffer or Steve Blackstock} and {Random Dot Software or stereograms}.

"QDV" and "Random" are pretty close together alphabetically. Could this all be the result of a clerical error?

ReaConverter seems quite sure that the association is real[1], but perhaps they are just speculating? Jsummers (talk) 18:26, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
