A Scenarist Closed Caption file can be used for subtitles and closed captioning video files.[1] SCC file format is the standard for closed-captioning in North American broadcast television.[2]

File Information

SCC are text files which begin with "Scenarist_SCC V1.0"[3], followed by timecodes and data. The data is made up of two-byte hexidecimal words, separated from each other by spaces and from the timecode by a tab character.[4]
