Image/Photo asset management software originally called iView Multimedia/Media Pro, then Microsoft Expression Media, then Phase One Media Pro[1]. Discontinued in 2018.[2]

File Information

Early versions of iView developed for Macintosh had no extension, but used Type/Code IVWc/IVW2

Microsoft Expression Media saved catalogs files using the IVC extension.

Phase One Media Pro could open IVC catalog files, but used the MPCATALOG.

Format Information

  • IVC files begin with the ascii 025i at byte 4
  • MPCATALOG files begin with the ascii 030i at byte 4
