[edit] Disambiguation

Cineon and DPX are sometimes lumped together as if they were two versions of the same format. There is some truth to that, but because they have different names and completely incompatible header formats, we opt to treat them as separate formats.

[edit] Identification

Files begin with signature bytes 80 2A 5F D7, or D7 5F 2A 80.
